Domestic Violence!

Every tear in the eyes of a woman is worth a kiss!

When man is capable of giving and getting so much of love in this world, inflicting pain on fellow human beings is a very sad state of things. And that too, when a couple is wedded to be there for each other and love each other unconditionally, domestic violence is the height of brutality! And the sad part is that not everyone is open about it and so suffer in silence, silent to the world and silence from the world.

There are wives who have been married for years but don’t know what to do and how to come out of the ‘hell’. The husbands torture them in more ways than one, they burn them with cigarette butts, spank them, drag them by their hair or worst still, rape them every day. Most of these girls do not have the financial independence and some of them live in fear because they have kids to take care of.

It is very important that any girl in this world have self-esteem at all times. And when I say self-esteem or self-respect, I mean not taking anything that humiliates you or your identity lying down. Your dignity should be important to you as much as it should be to your spouse. And if the husband shows his male chauvinism and tries to control the wife by inflicting pain on her, it is not something to be tolerated.

There are a lot of institutions, a lot of NGOs who are there to support victims of domestic violence and so it is important that every girl be aware of them at all times. Every girl should also know her rights as a citizen of any country and should know how to preserve them while preserving her dignity and self-esteem.
